Worship

Worship is the heart of our congregational life. We gather weekly to worship God that includes music and singing, prayers, scripture readings, sermon, and the offering of our lives and gifts to God. The first Sunday of each month we celebrate Holy Communion during our worship. The church has two worship services.

Our Traditional Sunday Morning worship begins at 9:30. The service follows the basic format you might find at any number of Presbyterian churches. Our music ministry with an outstanding adult choir and Jubilate Bell Ringers enrich our worship by presenting a wide repertoire of scholarly art music, contemporary praise music, and special music for liturgical seasons.

Our Casual Sunday service begins at 11:00. This service is more laid back and allows for interaction among the worship participants. The music is primarily choruses and more contemporary songs. Often a short discussion of the message follows the sermon.

The goal of our worship is first and foremost to give glory and honor to God and then secondly to help us mature in our faith and come to a better understanding of how we might live and love like Christ.
